when I check the answer I get 8b^2 -6 and the answer should show  8b^3-6

if answer is written as 4b + 2 +  -4/2b -1 and I check I get this:

   (2b -1) (4b +2) = 8b^2 - 4b - 4b -2 -4remainder

 =  8b^2 - 6

Arthur did the divisions correctly.

In the description you state, "would you show me how to solve using long division", yet you gave us nothing but the division problems.

What do you want to solve using division?

When I checked the answer by multiplying the quotientsby the divisor and adding the remainder ,4, I couldn't get the answer to match up with the original problem.
