Please help me I don't get it. :(

-15(y+3)=15(y+8)        Multiply -15 and 15 by numbers in parenthesis

 

 

= -15y-45 = 15y+120

 

          +45  = 15y+120 +45      (add 45 to both sides to eliminate -45 on the left side)

 

 

-15y=15y +165    (subtract 15y )

 

-15y=-15y+165

 

-30y/30= 165/30  = -5.5
