Write the point-slope form of the equation of each line given the slope and y-intercept.

 

Slope= 2/3       y-intercept= 3

y = (2/3) x + 3    slope-intercept form

 

Pick a point: (0,3) is the given point, the y-intercept, so

 

y-3 = (2/3)(x-0)  is the easiest point-slope representation.  You could have used other points, so there are infinitely many possible answers, but this is the one your teacher wanted.
