Order of operations:  PEMDAS
 
    P - (parenthesis)
    E - (exponents)
    MD - (multiplication and division in the order it appears, from left to right)
    AS - (addition and subtraction in the order it appears, from left to right)
 
    12/6*14+4
 
P - There are no parenthesis
E - There are no exponents
MD - Multiplication and division appear.  The division appears first, so o that first
 
    = 6*14+4
 
M - Now do the multiplication
 
    = 84 + 4
 
A - Now do the addition
 
    = 88
