The midpoint formula tells us that

the midpoint for (x

_{1},y_{1}), (x_{2},y_{2}) = [(x_{1}+x_{2})/2 , (y_{1}+y_{2})/2]x

_{1 }= -8(-8+x

_{2})/2 = 9-8+x

_{2}= 18x

_{2}= 26y

_{1}= -3(-3+y

_{2})/2 = 10-3 + y

_{2}= 20y

_{2}= 23The end point is (26, 23)

NOTE: That is by the formula... but there is a simpler logical method

For the x coordinates we moved -8 t0 9 to reach the halfway point.

That is a distance of 17. We should move 17 more to get to the end point.

9 + 17 = 26

For the y coordinate we moved from -3 to 10 to get to the halfway point.

That is a distance of 13. 10 + 13 = 23

Endpoint: (26, 23)
