equation    5.10x + 9.50(139-x) = 1052.10

solve ()     5.10x + 132.50-9.50x = 1052.10

"x" terms   -4.40x + 1320.50 = 1052.10

isolate "x"  -4.40x = -268.40

divide -4.40   x = 61

 

There were 61 child tickets sold.
