7t3 - 4 = 2t + 1
7t3 -2t - 5 = 0
Real solution t = 1.
Point of intersection: (1, 3)
Slope of 7t3 - 4 at t = 1 is 21.
Point slope for normal:
(y - 3) = -1/21(x - 1)

This sounds more complicated than it will end up being as long as you remember some of the algebra you likely learned in high school about finding a solution to a system of two equations with two unknowns; that's how we'll establish where the two functions "interact," which I would take as a code-word for "cross each other," i.e. have the same solutions. We might also need to know a little bit about how to write linear equations that pass through certain points. Let me know if any of this has helped you understand how to start and what might be important to find along the way.
