I keep trying to simplify but I cant seem to find a way to simplify it any further but according to my notes, my final answer is 10a^2+9b/12ba^2

from your note answer, we can find you missed the bracket, the expression should be like this
5/(6b) + 3/(4a2)
= 5 * (2a2) / (12ba2) + 3 *(3b) /(12ba2)
= (10a2 + 9b) / (12ba2)

You need to first find the LCD. I see that your LCD is correct. Multiply the numerator and denominator of the first term by 2a2. Multiply the numerator and denominator of the second term by 3b.
(10a2 + 9b) / 12a2b
You are correct. This cannot be simplified any further. The only thing you can do is break it up so that it looks like the original problem. But that is not what we want here.
