Please help. This is on my review packet and I don't quite understand it.

-3(4x - 1) > -12

 -12x + 3 > -12

 -12x > -12 - 3

 -12x > -15

 

NOTE:  when dividing an inequality by a negative number, reverse the inequality symbol

 

-12x/(-12) < -15/(-12)

 x < 5/4

 x < 1.25
