You need to use the quadratic formula
for this since it is not factorable and since completing the square would be messy in this case.
x2 - 7x + 4 = 0
a= 1
b= -7
c= 4
plugging that into the quadratic formula would give
x = (7 ± √33)/2
If you need the two answers in decimal format, you can plug the numbers into a calculator.
