x < 8/3
 
In interval notation:
 
(8/3 , Neg Inf)

If x < 8/3 is the correct solution, then the correct interval is (-infinity,8/3).  Thomas E's representation of the interval notation equivalent to x < 8/3 IS VERY WRONG.
