Combinatorics in a Poker Hand

Question

Let's say I make a big bet in a poker game.  I have 2 other opponents in the hand.  One opponent will call me 8% of the time.  The second opponent calls 10% (let's just assume for simplicity that if one calls it has no effect on the other).  How often will I get called by at least one of my opponents?

 

Is the answer 17.2% or is there some way involving combinatorics that I am supposed to do this?

 

(.08)*(1 - .10) + (.10)(1 - .08) + (.08)(.10)

P(either A or B calls, or both call) = 1 - P(neither calls) = 1 - 0.9(0.92) = 0.172
