each block is 16/12x8/12x8/12 = 16(64)/12^3

divide latter into 48 ft^3 = number of blocks needed

=81 blocks

holes in them are 4.5x4.5x8x2=324 in^2

each block= 1024-324= 7,000 in^3

each weighs 36.5 lb

the wall weighs 36.5(81) = 2,956 1/2 lbs.
