Think of the Domino Effect.  When one piece of domino fall, so does the others that follow.  So if one country suffers from a situation, then the other countries that neighbor or have ties to that country will also be affected.

 

So your answer is d.  If one country is lost, then the other countries that have ties to that country would also be lost.  This is because of the concept of alliances.  Allied nations protect each other from any attack.  Security has to do with protection.
