simply x^2+2x/7x+14 where do I start? it is an algebra problem

The first thing you will want to do is look at the numerator (x^2+2x). Since there is an x in both terms you can factor out an x (divide each term by x) making your new numerator x(x+2). Now look at the denominator (7x+14). Both numbers are divisible by 7, therefore you can factor out a 7 (divide each term by 7) from each term making your new denominator 7(x+2). Now you are left with the following problem: [x(x+2)]/[7(x+2)]. Since there is (x+2) in the numberator and denominator, they cancel out because anything divided by itself gives you 1. So, now you are left with x/7 as your final answer :)
