Reasonable Suspicion

Question

In some countries police officers do not need reasonable suspicion to stop or pullover someone to see what they are doing. Do you think the US would benefit from a change to this system? Why or Why not

This is an exercise to determine your opinion.  Following are a few questions that may help you to think about the topic:  

 

What are some of the possible ramifications of such a system?  Can you think of some other countries where this is allowed?  What type of justice system do such places have?  What happens to the "criminals" that do not need to be proven guilty in a court of law by a judge or by a jury of their peers?  Who metes out this "justice"?
