Hi Alex;
8x+2y=6
Just so you know, this equation is of a line on a graph, and it is in Standard Form. Standard Form is...
Ax+By=C, neither A nor B =0, and A is greater than 0.
You need this converted to slope-intercept form...
y=mx+b
m=slope
b=y-intercept, the value of y when x=0.
8x+2y=6
Let's subtract 8x from both sides...
-8x+8x+2y=-8x+6
2y=-8x+6
Let's divide both sides by 2...
(2y)/2=(-8x+6)/2
y=-4x+3
