Hi! My name is Maria i'm a senior in high school. I goofed around in high school and failed a few of my math classes. Algebra II and Geometry. Now I'm in online Credit Recovery classes I'm struggling to pass them and my teacher doesn't respond to my emails. I may post here a lot for help. Please explain. Thats all I need is for someone to explain things to me. I greatly appreciate anyone who helps.

6. The Arkansas State Capitol Building is a smaller version of the U.S. Capitol Building. The U.S. Capitol is 752 feet long and 288 feet tall. The Arkansas State Capitol is 564 feet long. What is the height of the Arkansas State Capitol?

Let h = the height of the Arkansas Capitol building. The ratio of the heights to the lengths will be equal, so

 

288/752 = h/564.

 

Solve for h by cross-multiplying:

A final note: You do not need to apologize for what happened to you in high school. Almost nobody gets through high school these days without messing something up. Those of us who tried not to mess up and mess around (and I count myself one of them), usually end up being boring and unemployed math professors with unimpeachable ethical standards and few friends.
