How to solve this quadratic equation ?

Hi, I'm having a hard time solving this. I keep getting the wrong answer : 
 
(x+2)2 - 5(x+3) +6=0

(x + 2)2 - 5(x + 3) + 6 = 0
x2 + 4x + 4 - 5x - 15 + 6 = 0
x2 - x - 5 = 0
 
Use the quadratic formula to determine two real irrational roots.

Using the quadratic formula can also give you two complex roots.  But that is a lesson for another day.
