f(x) = 8-x
There are steps to finding an inverse function.
1. Replace f(x) with y
y = 8 - x
2. Swap the x and y variables
x = 8 - y
3. Solve for y
y = 8 - x
4. Replace y with f-1(x)
f-1(x) = 8 - x
Note: It is possible for a function to be the inverse of itself.
A function that's its own inverse is called an involution
