Which function is the inverse of f (x) = 4x - 3/4?

A. f^-1(x) = 1/4x + 3/16
B. f^-1(x) = -1/4x + 3
C. f^-1(x) = 1/4x + 3
D. f^-1(x) = -1/4x + 3/16
These are the options. Please explain how you got the answer.

f-1(x) = (1/4)x + 3/16    not   1        3
                                          ---- +  ---
                                           4x       16

But when you divide 1/4x+3/4 by 4 the two four go and we have x+4 left??
