Right now Bob is n times as old as his cousin Alexandra, who is 7 years old. In two years, Bob's grandmother Jane, who is now 88 years old, will be n-1 times as old as Bob will be then. How old is Bob now?

B=n*7

 

In two years (+2) Bob's grandmother Jane who is (88) will be (=) n-1 times ((n-1)) as old as Bob (B) will be then (+2)

88+2= (n-1)(B+2)

 

Now use substitution to solve for (n) then calculate Bob's age.
