A hollow spherical iron container whose outer diameter is 95 cm and thickness is 4 mm is filled with iced water at 0ºC. If the outer surface temperature is 1ºC, determine the approximate rate of heat loss from the sphere in watts.

Q/t = κA(T₂ - T₁)/d              d =thickness = 4mm = 4X10^-3 m, κ =  79.5 W/K·m,

                                          A = 4π r² = 4π(0.95m)² = 11.341 m² , T₁ = 273.15 K, T₂ = 273.15 K
