PLEASE EEXPLAIN

Bryan needs to paint a 90 ft by 40 ft rectangular billboard with white paint in order to prepare it for the next advertising theme. Two coats of paint will be needed. Bryan is a contractor, buys his white paint in bulk for $19.95 per gallon, and can reuse any leftover paint for another job. If one gallon covers about 225 square feet, give the approximate value of the paint that Bryan will use for this job.

Make that... The billboard will require 32 gallons of paint, not 32 coats.  :-)

You forgot he is required to do 2 coats.
You have to double that answer.
It will take 32 gallons of paint at a cost
of 32(19.95) = $638.40
 
Rounding... The correct answer is c = $640
