To solve this, I would set up an equation and solve for x to find Logan's age. From there, you can then find Justin's age.
I start with x + (x+4), where x= logan and (x+4)=justin. We know that we are adding 9 years to each of their ages, so this equation would read:
(x+9) + (x+4+9)= 60
I then add 4+9 in the second parentheses so the equation would read:
(x+9) + (x+13) = 60.
Next, remove the parentheses and combine like values.
2x+ 22= 60
2x=38
x= 19
We now know that Logan's current age is 19. When we add 4 to his age, we find that Justin's age is 23.
You can check to make sure you got the right answer. If The answer is correct, then:
(Logans age + 9 years) + (Justin's age + 9 years) = 60
19+9+23+9=60
