John bought 2 tickets to join a lottery, in the lottery the draw 2 tickets out of 100 in the same draw, the owner of the first ticket gets a prize and the owner of the second ticket gets another prize

 

a- What is the chances of john winning the two prizes 

b- What is the chances of john not winning anything at all

c- What is the chances of john winning one prize

1. Since there are 2 tickets, the chance of drawing one of them is 2/100, which is equal to 1 in 50. So, the chance of winning 2 prizes will be 1/50 times 1/50 = 1/2,500

 

2. The chance of not winning anything will be 49/50

 

3. The chance of winning 1 prize will be 1/50
