3) A camp leader figures that she needs one tent for every three campers, plus a tent for herself. Define a variable and write an expression to represent the number of tents needed.

then C_b = 3 x C_s

 

2. let T = total cost, and H = the number of hours. We are given that there is a fixed charge of $50

 

then, T = H x $40/h + $50

 

3. let T = total number of tents, and C = number of campers

 

then T = C/3 + 1
