the hypotenuse would be (X+30) as given in the problem itself.
Now we are going to use Pythagoras's theorem
c^2 = a^2 + b^2
(X+30)^2 = 90^2 + X ^2
x^2 + 60x + 900 = 8100 + x^2
60x = 8100 -900
60x = 7200
x = 120m
thus our longer leg is 120 m
