x-8=a(y+5)^2, to solve for a, find another point on the parabola, directly above the focus with x coordinate of 4
distance from that point to the directrix = 8 = vertical distance from the focus, so the point is (4,3)
plug that point in and solve for a
4-8 =a(3+5)^2
-4 =64a
a=-1/16
