I love math, and I love to teach it.
Dear Bryan,
I believe that you are looking for the X and Y-intercepts. When X=0, what is Y? Go to 2nd Calculate, which is the 4th function. Then press Intercept, #5. You will see the answer. You can also go to 2nd GRAPH, which is the last upper function. Look for where X=0, what is the Y-intercept? The X-intercept is where Y=0. It might be more accurate to solve here for the X-intercept.
y≤-4X-5 Substitute 0=Y, and add 5 to both sides of inequality.
5≤-4X You need to divide both sides of inequality by -4; however, when you divide an inequality by a negative, you need to change the inequality sign. In this case it would be, ≥. a greater than or equal sign. I will let you finish this problem. Let me know if there are problems. Please give me a thumbs up if I have helped you.
