total expenses

 

2x/3 + x/5+x/8

80x/120+24x/120+15x/120=119x/120

 

saving=salary-total expenses

 

         =x- 119x/120

 

         =(120x-119x)/120

 

          =x/120

         saving is 1/120  of his salary
