f(x) = 2x2-7
To find the inverse of a function there are
specific steps:
1. replace f(x) with y
y = 2x2-7
2. Switch y and x in the equation.
x = 2y2-7
3. Solve for y
2y2=x+7
y2=(x+7)/2
y = √((x+7)/2)
4. Replace y with f-1(x)
f-1(x)=√[(x+7)/2]
Hope this helps.
