Express the set -4x+21=3x+14 using interval notation.

 I have figured out the answer but not sure how to set up the interval notation

-4x + 21 = 3x + 14        add 4x to both sides

21 = 7x + 14                  subtract 14 from both sides

-7 = 7x                           divide both side by 7

-1 = x

 

Interval notation describes values in relation to two other values. This equation has only one number as a solution. It cannot be expressed in interval notation.
