Medication dosages for an adult

The adult daily dosage for a certain medication is 260 mg of medication for every 40 pounds of body weight.
At this rate find the daily dose for a man who weighs 175 pounds.
Also, if this man is to receive 900 mg of this medication every 8 hours, is he getting the proper dosage?
