The ratio of 130 minutes to 5 hours is?

If you change everything to minutes, then you get   13minutes/ 30 minutes.

 

However,  the problem wants the answer in minutes to hours.

 

1.    Write your answer as a fraction:    130 minutes/5 hours.

 

2.   Write in lowest terms by dividing the top number (numerator) and the bottom number by 5.

 

                130÷5   =     26 minutes/1hour            

                  5÷5

3.  In a story problem, this would mean that something is happening for 26 minutes during a one hour period.  For example, maybe, someone reads for 26 minutes out of every hour.
