13-(2c+2) = 2(2c+2) = 3c
13-2c-2 = 4c+4 = 3c
-2c +11 = 4c+ 4 = 3c
odds are one of those = signs is a typo and meant to be +. It's the same key on the keyboard, one upper, one lower case. Let's say the 2nd = is the + sign
-2c+11 = 4c+4+3c
-2c+11 =7c+4
9c = -7
c= -7/9
or make the 1st = into a + sign
-2c+11+ 4c+4 = 3c
2c +15 = 3c
3c-2c = 15
c =15. That came out so evenly, it's probably what you wanted.
