A rectangle is less than or equal to 50 sq. meters, the length of the rectangle is 3x the width, write an inequality for the area using the dimensions given.

Let W be the width. Then the length is L=3W

 

So The equation is then 3W·W = 50 m² or 3W² = 50 m².
