how to factor (3x+5)(x-2)+(3x+5)^2

Note that (3x + 5) is a factor in each term.  We can take this out as the GCF.
 
(3x + 5)[(x - 2) + (3x + 5)]
 
 
We can simplify this if needed.
 
(3x + 5)(4x + 3)
