Essentially, we need a value (powdered donuts, glazed donuts, total amount of donuts, etc.) in order to solve the question. A curious question from me: in your message to me the day referenced was Sunday (whereas the day in this link to the question is Saturday). Is this part of a more complicated riddle?

We have   4P = 7G

But to know how many glazed donuts were sold from that point,

we need to know how many powdered donuts were sold..
