Supplementary angles add up to 180 degrees, giving you a straight line.
 
Angle 1 = x
Angle 2 = 3x - 4
 
Set up equation to solve for x.
 
Angle 1 + Angle 2 = 180
 
x + 3x - 4 = 180
 
4x - 4 = 180
4x = 184
  x = 46
 
 
Substitute this value of x into the angles.
 
Angle 1 = 46 degrees
Angle 2 = 134 degrees
