Algebra Probability

Diego is in the French club. There are 27 students in the club. Two of them will  be picked at random to attend an award banquet. What is the probability that Diego will NOT be picked to attend the banquet?

If you divide the first number by the second number you will end up with 25/27, which should be enough to convince you that if two students out of 27 are picked then the probability that Diego is picked is 2/27 and the probability that Diego is not picked is 25/27.

Ha!  I didn't even take it one step further to check my answer and realize that we end up in the same place. 
 
You are absolutely correct, and Joseph's approach for this situation definitely is simpler than mine.  We're just splitting up the group into two parts, and the probability that Diego ends up with the group of 25 is 25/27.  Right you are!
