Parallel lines mean that the slope remains the same. We also have a point given to us. We can easily use the slope-intercept formula for this problem as the point we're given is the y-intercept (x is 0), thus:

y = mx + b

m = slope (3)

b = the y-intercept (3)

y = 3x + 3
