Let's look at what the numerator and denominator have in common. In this case, notice how both have the value 'n' in common. As such, let's factor out both an 'n' on the numerator and denominator, leaving us with n(n-2)/n(n-7).
Next, notice we have 'n' on both the numerator and denominator. We can therefore cancel both out, leaving us with (n-2)/(n-7).
