Are you using a scientific calculator? (If you are, you will see a button for "log" and another for "ln." If you don't have a scientific calculator, you can simply google "scientific calculator" and a google calculator will come up.
On the google calculator, you can plug it in like this: log--> 5 --> ) --> x --> ln --> 12 --> ) --> =
On some other calculators, to find logs or lns, you type the number first, then hit the log or ln key. So you would first find log5 by pressing 5, then pressing log. You would need to write this number down. Then you would find ln12 by putting in 12, then pressing ln. Finally, you would multiply this number by the number you got for log5.
