Pr(blue) = 3/(5+3+2) = 3/10 = .3 = 30% chance of randomly picking blue
There are 5 red, 3 blue, and 2 green marbles in a bag. I’m trying to figure out the probability of pulling a blue one on the first try.

Hello, thank you for posting your question!
In order to solve this one you want to find the total number of marbles in the bag and then how many of them are blue
Total = Red + Blue + Green
Total = 5 + 3 + 2
Total = 10
Since 3 of those are Blue that means that the probability here will be 3/10 = 0.30
I hope that helps! Feel free to reach out if you have any more questions beyond that :)

Total marbles= 5 red + 3 blue + 2 green
Blue marbles = 3
Probability of find blue marble = blue marbles / total marbles
= 3/10
Answer: 3/10
Start by finding the total number of marbles:
5 red + 3 blue + 2 green = 10 marbles.
The number of blue marbles is 3.
So:
P(blue) = 3 out of 10 = 3/10 or 30%
