Unable to come to same conclusion as text

I am working through a problem using linear regression. The data set I have identified advertising as the x value, and sales as the y value. However, I am unable to calculate the Syx to the same result the text has been able to utilize the correct formula can you please review and advise how the text is calculating the solution?

Slope=109.229

Intercept=-8.135

r=.98

r2=.96

Syx=15.603

There must be more data than the 6 data points in the table you pasted in your question. Please double check your question.

If you could just provide the x-value and y-value it would be really useful. I can't figure out what the data is from the info you sent in the comments. From your entry, it appears that the 5 (x, y) data points are 1: (264, 93), 2: (116, -55), 3: (165, -6), 4: (101, -70), and 5: (209, 38). This data is however a straight line with an r = 1 so it's obviously in error.

No problem thankyou, X values are as follows there are five:2.5, 1.3, 1.4, 1.0, 2.0. The Y values that correspond in order with X: 264, 116, 165, 101, 209.

WolframAlpha gives y = 104.461x - 0.527604 using least squares on the data set you provided. Were you supposed to use a different regression than least squares?
