(a) When is the object moving backward and when is it moving forward? (b) Using (a), find the total distance travelled during the first 10 seconds.

An object is moving with velocity v(t) = 4t − 12 in feet per second.

(a) When is the object moving backward and when is it moving forward?

(b) Using (a), find the total distance travelled during the first 10 seconds.

Note: If I walk 10 steps forward and 3 steps backward, the total distance I travelled is 13 steps(not 7 steps)
