Volume using Slicing Method

Find the volume formed by rotating about the x-axis the region enclosed by:

y=9y and y3=x with y≥0

Doug C.

Probably you mean y^3 = x, but not sure what you mean by y = 9y? Check for accuracy.

My apologies, I did a typo. It is y^3=x. Also that is why I'm asking a question, since I dont know either. I've been struggling and just want to see the steps to solve these

So, the real question is what should the equation y = 9y really be? y = 9x? x = 9y?

x would make more sense, but the question state it as y=9y

Assuming x =9y, take a look at this graph, take some notes, then comment with questions: desmos.com/calculator/gnggiwnmok

Unfortunately no, it said that the answer should be 1308.69774

y=9y is the same as -8y=0 or y = 0. Unfortunately, that makes no sense. There must be some in the definition involving both x and y.
