InDesign - Paragraph/line breaks in text thread - using story editor mode

Question

In story editor mode, is there a way to control where in the text each text box will start and stop? For example, with a bulleted list where I want between 1 to 3 bullets in each text, box but not randomly distributed.

If I'm understanding what you mean by "randomly distributed," I guess you don't want bulleted text to break in the middle of a paragraph and continue in another Text Frame. If I'm right, I suggest you take a look at the "Keep Options" features in the Options menu of the Paragraph panel. Check "Keep Line Together," AND "All Lines in Paragraph."

Make this Keep feature part of your Bulleted Paragraph Style and Bulleted Paragraphs will never break at the end of Threaded Text Fames OR Columns.
