Matrix 1 can be obtained from the 3 x 3 identity matrix by switching rows 1 and 2.
Matrix 5 can be obtained from the 3 x 3 identity matrix by adding 3 times row 1 to row 2.
Matrix 8 can be obtained from the 2 x 2 identity matrix by multiplying row 1 by 4.
